Hi, and welcome to Scifaikuest’s Anniversary issue!
It’s hard to believe that we’re starting our sixth year of publication! All because of our wonderful contributors and readers, who have continued to support genre poetry, and minimalist genre poetry in particular. From the beginning we’ve sought to both entertain and enlighten and, over the years, our readership has grown along with our knowledge. All in all, it’s been an exciting six years, and I’m honored to have played a part in the establishment and growth of Scifaikuest.
As usual, this issue is chock full of fantastic poetry. We’ve got scifaiku, tanka and haibun galore. You’ll find our regular contributors and some new names, too, all of whom are the backbone of this ezine.
In the PRINT edition, we’ve got an article by Joshua Gage that you will surely find as interesting as it is informative, and our Featured Poet this time is also our managing editor, Tyree Campbell! (Thanks, Bossman!) So, if you enjoy our online issue, but haven’t yet tried our print version, go get a subscription, you won’t regret it!!!!
Our DOOR artist is newcomer Kimo Pokini, and the title of his door piece is “Hovering”. I’d like to thank our newest contributors: Michael Nickels-Wisdom, Margarita Engle, Michael Dylan Welch, Ed Higgins, Susan Palmer and william landis jr.
As we embark on another year, we also embark on another journey of wonder through the galaxy in the hearts of our Poets and Artists. So let’s all kick back and enjoy another Scifaikuest…
teri santitoro, editor, Scifaikuest
