Type Expressions and the title of your submission in your subject line and submit your stories and flash fiction (under 500 words preferred), poems (under 20 lines preferred), art and photos (a JPEG under 35k), articles (700 words max), reviews (700 words max), letters of comment (500 words max), interviews (700 words max), or whatever your imagination dictates.

Send all submissions in the body of an email. Submissions sent as attachments will be deleted. If you’d like your photo published with your work, send a JPG under 35k in the body of your email.

Please include a short bio with each submission, something interesting about yourself and your work, rather than a long list of your publication credits. Write your bio as though it’s coming from your editor and place it at the bottom of your submission.

Science fiction, fantasy, horror, crime and western submissions are preferred. I’m also interested in articles about writing and publishing. Under normal circumstances, your submission will be responded to within three days, probably sooner.

Expressions is published on the first day of every month and back issues are archived.
